Siltbuster supplies specialist waste water treatment technology which can be used in a huge array of markets – from the construction, municipal water, food and drink sectors through to mining, steel, catering and recycling industries. The company is a real UK engineering success with genuinely different world-beating products which help companies deal with potentially environmentally damaging water. However, how could it target and educate so many markets and thus achieve its true business potential?


We recommended an intensive campaign which combined media relations and case study development with an awards entry programme. The media activity drew on the expertise and thought leadership of the company’s senior team to secure point of view pieces, predictions and advice columns across every sector. This activity also used eye-catching case studies showing Siltbuster’s products and services in action. These case studies could not only be used by the media but also supported the company’s sales process. Backing-up all this activity was an awards programme designed to give Siltbuster yet more credibility.


This activity has ensured that Siltbuster is synonymous with waste water treatment. As a result, the company has worked with most of the top 100 construction contractors on projects ranging from Birmingham New Street station, Crossrail and the Olympic Park through to the construction of Airbus’s new UK’s factory. Its systems are used by almost all the UK’s major water utility companies plus major food manufacturers including Heinz, Premier Foods, Bulmers, Heineken, Arla, Chivas Brothers, Nestle and First Milk.
