I Scream for Ice Cream
It’s official, Spring has sprung, which means sunny afternoons are in sight and soon, we’ll all be screaming for ice cream. With this in mind, Deliveroo has stolen one of the top spots in this week’s PR campaigns. On Monday, a day after the clocks went forward, the food delivery service was giving away free tubs of ice cream to ‘help Londoners embrace the summer months’. This delicious stunt grabbed headlines and involved a partnership with a number of restaurants across London and also ice cream maker, Jude’s.
Heartfelt Messages
Next up, a campaign with a more serious message. This week, Londoners might have noticed a series of eye-opening messages from Syrian Refugees popping up across the city. The notes were part of a campaign launched by Mercy Corps, a humanitarian aid agency, aimed at raising awareness and challenging social attitudes to refugees. Notes included a message from a 16-year-old boy which read: “I hope to have a good future. A small family with good work and that is enough”. What we really love about this campaign is that it’s not asking for money or for any form of contribution from the public, it is simply trying to remind people that refugees are human beings too. You can see more of these messages on social media using the hashtag #Human2Human.
