Red Nose Day Fundraisers

The Sound of Stephen Hawking
Our favourite PR around Comic relief’s Red Nose Day is by none other than Stephen Hawking. The Professor, whose voice is instantly recognisable around the world, decided that it was time for a voice upgrade. He took part in a star studded Red Nose Day sketch in search of his new sound but unfortunately the celebrities, which included the likes of Simon Cowell, Kylie Minogue and Miss Piggy, didn’t make the cut! A great stunt that received some national coverage and will no doubt pull in the viewers tonight.
Tea with a Twist
PG Tips has been cheering up the nation all month by raising #1millionlaughs in a bid to encourage the country to raise money. The tea brand has launched a limited-edition pack which features a joke inside so Brits can share a laugh over a cup of tea. The laugh-tastic campaign also encourages people to share their favourite jokes on social media. We like a laugh here at EPR HQ but queue the dad jokes for this campaign!
Dancing for Cash
Fitbit has paired up with Louie Spence to get Brits boogying. For the last month, the fitness tracker has had social media users dancing to donate using the hashtag #stepupgetdown. For every video that makes its way online Fitbit made a £15 donation, at least, until it reached £150,000. We’re a fan of this one, not only are there some pretty funny entries but it’s for a great cause.
This is just a small selection of the campaigns we’ve seen this week and we’d love to hear your favourite. Maybe it was Piers Morgan quitting Twitter or was it Specsaver’s Silly Specs? Let us know!
