The Need
Crossflow Energy, a renewable technology specialist, had developed a ground-breaking ‘small wind’ turbine. With a fantastic first customer on board in the form of Vodafone, it wanted to first launch its new Eco Tower to the telecoms sector.
One concern was that the behemoth that is Vodafone might overshadow Crossflow’s role in the Eco Tower and its innovative technology.
We were tasked with making sure this didn’t happen.
How We Helped
- Working with Vodafone’s PR team, we developed a powerful news story on the Eco Tower, looking at Crossflow’s tech and its impact on Vodafone’s 4G and 5G coverage in rural, off-grid Wales.
- Having secured masses of national, regional and telecoms coverage we quickly rolled out a thought-leadership programme to continue our momentum. Our approach was to position Crossflow as the market-leader, addressing the telecoms sector’s pain points with wind power.
- We didn’t just educate the telecoms market but showed the possibilities for other sectors too. This prompted new commercial conversations.
- A social media campaign gave everything a further boost. It featured imagery and videos of the Eco Tower and discussed how it will help the telecoms industry reduce carbon emissions and reach net zero.
